Hire Purchase

A traditional method of spreading the cost of the truck over its useful working life, or paying for it as you use it. Benefits are: fixed rate, fixed regular payments giving accurate budgeting and cash control, tax relief on interest paid and capital allowances available. Ownership transfers to the user at the end of agreement.

Finance Lease

This gives the user all the benefits of the use of the truck without ownership. A flexible form of financing, which can be tailored to suit individual needs. The truck is usually notionally shown on the lessee's balance sheet for depreciation purposes, rentals are chargeable for VAT (reclaimable) and 100% tax allowance is available on payments made.

Operating Lease

The requirement for this product usually arises when a lessee has to comply with accounting regulations, or simply as a means of driving down monthly costs to assist with budgeting. No economic risk is taken in the truck by the user and therefore no capital allowances are available. Tangible residual positions are usually taken.
